On the above picture you can see how bamboos look like. The Bamboo plants make part of the Poaceae family. Bamboos are usually a group of woody evergreen plants. Bamboos can be found in diverse climates, in tropical regions or in cold mountains. The stems of these plants can grow up to 40 meters and the stem diameter can vary from 1 millimetre to 30cm. Bamboo is known to be a grass, the larger ones look like trees. They are sometimes called bamboo trees. Bamboos are popular as garden plants. Bamboos spread very easily, so in cultivation care is needed as they have an invasive behaviour.
