On the above picture you can see a beautiful view of the botanical Garden in Adelaide, which is known to be very famous in Australia. The Garden is everyday opened to the public, there are also garden guides available free of charge. In 1866, 84 acres of land was added to the garden. Glasshouses were constructed in order for them to plant tropical plants. In 1868 the Victoria House was built, it was especially for the water lily, Victoria amazonica to be planted. In the Botanical Garden you can also admire the Palm House, a restored Victorian glasshouse imported from Germany in 1875.
