Adelaide is
the capital city of South Australia. Adelaide is the fifth
largest city in the continent of Australia. The population of
Adelaide is over 1.1 million. It is situated on the Adelaide
plains and is a coastal city. The city was named in honour of
the Queen Adelaide, the wife of King William IV. Adelaide was
founded in 1836. Before the European settled in Adelaide, the
area was inhabited by Kauma Aboriginal tribe. In December 1836
South Australia was settled as new British province. Adelaide
City is also a football club in Adelaide. They were also known
as the Adelaide Force. |
