On this
picture you can see a beautiful view of the beach of Glenelg.
There are also a lot of attractions in Glenelg as the shark
museum, the Bay to Birdwood, and of course the beach for those
who want to have nice time and relax. The Old Gum Tree is
situated at Glenelg North and is a quite famous place. This was
the reading place of the Proclamation by Governor John Hindmarsh
and created the South Australian colony in 1836 on the 28 of
December. On the 28 December, every year there is a ceremony
held and the speech that was made by John Hindmarsh is read by
the Governor. |
