While visiting
this fabulous city of Adelaide you will come along a large
variety of hat shop. When you will be visiting the Rundle mall,
a quite visited mall in Adelaide you will see stores selling
different type of hats. The Rundle Mall is considered as the
main shopping centre in Adelaide. In September 1976 it was
opened as the first pedestrian street mall of Australia with
over 600 retailers. Rundle Street got its name after John
Rundle, who was a member of the House of Commons in the
parliament of United Kingdom. The Street Naming Committee named
the street in May 1837. In 1895 the street saw its first
electric lighting. In the mall you will discover different
modern sculptures, but the best known is may be the Spheres by
Bert Flugelman, a visual artist, born in Austria, who migrated
in Australia in 1838 when he was 15 years old. He designed the
Spheres that you may admire while walking along the Rundle Mall. |
