Here is a beautiful picture of palms with a blue sky in background just as when you are on holidays. Palms are also known as Arecaceae, the palm family flowers plant which belongs to the monocot order, Arecales. Palms mostly grow in tropical area. There is different palms species. It has been estimated that only 130 species grow naturally in the tropics. Some well known palm species are Betel palm or Betel nut tree which is mostly found in tropical Pacific, Asia and also in some parts of east Africa, the Calamus or Rattan Palm, the Coconut Palm, the Phoenix is a palm tree native from the Canary Island, the Royal Palm or Roystonea is originally from some regions of Florida and the Caribbean, the Oil palms or Elaeis which produces oil, the Raffia palm or Raphia originally from Africa, Madagascar, Central and South America, it is used to make sticks, ropes or also used as roof covering, the Raffia palm gives also a cultural drink.
