The Botanic Park has an area of around 34 hectares that was
acquired by the Adelaide Garden in 1866. In the Botanical
Garden you can also admire the National Rose Trial garden; it
helps rose industry to determine which type of roses is suitable
for Australian climate. You will also see the Nelumbo Pond. You
can also visit the Palm House, a magnificent greenhouse imported
from Germany in 1875. The Adelaide Garden is open to the public
