On the above picture you can see the main entrance of the park of Adelaide. The Botanic Park has an area of around 34 hectares that was acquired by the Adelaide Garden in 1866.  In the Botanical Garden you can also admire the National Rose Trial garden; it helps rose industry to determine which type of roses is suitable for Australian climate. You will also see the Nelumbo Pond. You can also visit the Palm House, a magnificent greenhouse imported from Germany in 1875. The Adelaide Garden is open to the public the whole year around and everyday and free guides from the garden offer you their services. The garden is a splendid place to spend a quiet and relaxing day. Do not miss visiting the Adelaide Botanical Garden during your vacation in South Australia.
