In the Botanical
Garden of Adelaide you will discover a big lake which is the
main lake of the park. Near the main lake of the garden you can
have a look the Victorian glasshouse of the garden with
beautiful tropical plants inside. During your visit in the
Botanical Garden of Adelaide you will also be able to visit the
Museum of Economic Botany which was opened in May 1881. It was
designed by the architect E.J. Woods in a Greek style. At the
time Dr Schomburgk was the director of the garden he had in the
museum a large collection of the objects he received from all
around the world, till now you can still view some of these
objects. The museum makes part of the heritage of the National
Trust. The museum has been closed from March 2005 to January
2006 for restoration. |
