You can see on
the above picture a monument in honour of the Queen Victoria.
Victoria became Queen of United Kingdom and Ireland the 20 June
of 1837. She became in January 177 the first Empress of India
till her death in 1901. Queen Victoria was born on the 24 May
1819 and died on the 22 January 1901. Queen Victoria descendant
were almost all from Germany. Victoria was the daughter of the
Duke of Kent and Strathearn and the princess Victoria of
Saxe-Coburg-saalfeld. Victoria was only child the couple had.
The Queen Victoria married the Prince Albert her cousin. They
got married in February 1840. The couple got nine children. He
Husband died in December 1861, the death of the Prince
devastated the Queen, since then she made rare appearance in
public. |
