Uluru-Kata Tjurpa is the name given to the national park found
in Uluru itself which was owned since past civilisations by
aborigines who themselves founded the place, gave it a name and
made it a sacred place due to their beliefs. This place has
always been here since Tjukurpa (creation time). It is a mixture
of culture and it recognizes both natural and cultural values.
This place has a lot of culture and beliefs and therefore there
is a large part to learn out of your journey through Kata Tjuta.
There is the possibility of doing many activities such as:
sunrise and sunset viewing, dune viewing areas, ranger guided
walks and self guided walks. It is essential to be well prepared
for such activities as each year people suffer from heat strokes
and heat exhaustions. Some measures to be taken are for example
wearing a pair of strong shoes, enough sunscreen, and a hat. It
is important to stay on the track and if possible to walk at
cooler parts of the day. |
