picture you can observe the building of the Aapt. The Aapt is
located in Brisbane. Brisbane is also the capital city of
Queensland and has a population of over 1.8 million. Aapt offers
in Australia telecommunication services, it is also considered
as the third largest telecommunications carriers in Australia.
The Aapt form also part of the Telecom Group of New Zealand. The
company was established in 1991. Since the company has started
business it was a real competition in the market of
telecommunication in Australia. It was a competitor to Telstra
Company. In July 1997 the Aapt got an award for carrier licence.
In November of the same year it was listed on the Australian
Stock Exchange as the first telecommunications carrier. During
the year 2000 the company was acquired by New Zealand Telecom
and in November they were unlisted from the Australian Stock
Exchange. Nowadays Aapt form part of the three Australian
Telecommunication providers to own their voice and data network. |
