The tower of
the lighthouse of Cape Moreton is built of sandstone. The
sandstone was quarried from area nearby the lighthouse. The
lighthouse of Cape Moreton has a height of twenty three meters.
The lighthouse is operated by the Australian Maritime Safety
Authority. The lighthouse of Cape Moreton was the first one
built in Queensland. The lighthouse has been built by the
Government but not the first built by them. The lighthouse has
been built because the traffic was increasing to the northern
coast. It was built during the year 1857. Australia has numerous
lighthouses in the different states, Victoria, Queensland, New
South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia, Northern
