Palm
trees are one of the most well-known and extensively cultivated
plant families. They are tall in height and can go up to more
than three metres. As you may see on this picture, they have a
straight, unbranched stem with at the right top large evergreen
leaves. Over two third of the palms are found in tropical
forests. Nowadays palm trees can be found nearly everywhere
apart form deserts. In certain countries they can even represent
peace, fertility. They are also symbols of victory. This is
mainly the case in tropical regions which are peakly visited by
tourists. They spend most of their vacations and enjoy the
summer temperatures which are offered freely! There broad
leaves provide you with a cool and dry area when the sun is too
strong it is pleasant to have a walk under such circumstances. |
