Molten rock is another word for magma. Magma is located beneath
the earth's crust and is a high-temperature solution which cools
down when in contact with the air. The rock found on this
picture is originally made of magma. It’s caused to crack
because of the time spent in the oxidized air. With time you can
see the cracks appear. |
