Spheroidal
weathering is a type of physical and chemical weathering that
creates boulders and rocks on a smaller basis. This type of
weathering occurs whenever a great amount of mass of rocks,
mostly granite experiences reduction in heat and pressure. As
you can see above this process of weathering has taken place in
those Australian areas where those devils marbles are to be
found.
