The
type of plant you see on this picture is named the water lily.
It consists of a large leave which floats on water and a big
flower, most frequently white in colour, just in the middle of
this leave. Its roots are found under the water. They are long
and can measure more than 1 metre in length. Sea roses, called
lily pads, are originally from Bangladesh. There is only have
two types of them, the hardly and the tropical. The hardly ones
only blooms during the day whereas the tropical water lilies
blooms either during the day or at night. In any national park
as well as in zoo, where lakes and swans, flamingos etc. can be
found. They are decorative and just add the final touch of
beauty to the place! |
