The aboriginal
people say that Kakadu has six seasons and banggereng forms part
of these seasons. The five seasons are Yegge, Gurrung, Wurrgeng,
Gudjewg, Guumeleng. For the aboriginal people Banggereng is in
March, it is when the animals care for their young, when most of
the plants and trees are giving fruits. It is also the time for
violent storms. Kakadu is a fabulous area of Australia to spend
a great holiday where you will learn about the culture of the
indigenous Australians who occupied the area during the past. In
the Kakadu National Park you will discover the wildlife habitat
of around eight thousand square miles. The park is also the
largest terrestrial park of Australia. |
