Gudjewg is one
of the six seasons of Kakadu. Normally the region has two
seasons but the aboriginal people from Kakadu always said that
the land had six seasons. Gujewg happens in January and
February. It is the period of rain, flooding and violent
thunderstorms. There is an explosion of animal life and plants
because of the humidity and heat. It is also the time to gather
the eggs. The flooding brings the animals as snakes, possums,
and goannas to look for refuge in the trees which make of them
easier prey and are caught very easily. The Northern Territory
is a magnificent region to be visited. The region proposes also
a large number of attractions. When you visit the Kakadu Park
you will discover a complete different land. The whole continent
of Australia has many interesting things to propose to the
visitors. |
