On the picture you can see that Jabiru has also a police station in its town. The police station is located in the small village centre, Jabiru lives from the uranium mine and from tourism.  In Jabiru you will learn about the aboriginal culture and customs. Jabiru is a quite small town, it has a village centre where you find a supermarket, video souvenir shop, café, takeaway, fishing shop and a police station. Most of the time during the wet season which is from October to April, Jabiru is accessible only by air because very often the Arnhem Highway is flooded.  The administration of Jabiru is the Jabiru Town Council; the council is near the village centre. Jabiru proposes different activities to visitors as the town lake; the yellow water cruise fishing for Barramundi, trips to Ubirr Rock.  Jabiru is also the name of company that produces civil aircraft. The Jabiru Aircraft Company designs and manufactures in Bundaberg, Australia.
