The Pelican is a large water bird. The Pelican belongs to the Pelecanidae bird family. You will be able to see some pelicans in the lakes of the Kakadu National Park. You will be able to find the modern pelicans on all continents except Antarctica. The weight of a pelican is around thirteen kg and they have a wingspan of three meters. The Pelicans have two different ways to feed themselves.  The white pelicans over the whole world used group fishing to feed themselves. To catch small fish they will form a line in swallow water, larger fish will be caught with the bill-tip which is tossed up in the air and caught then they will slid it the head first in the gullet. The Australian Pelican is also known as Goolayyalibee. The Australian Pelican is a medium size pelican, their weight is between four and seven kg. There are different species of pelicans, here are some of them, brown pelican, America white pelican, great white pelican, Australian pelican, spot-billed pelican, pink backed pelican and peruvian pelican.
