There are
eight species of eagles that are still alive. They are known as
bald eagle, white tailed eagle, white bellied sea eagle, African
fish eagle, Madagascar fish eagle, pallas sea eagle, steller’s
sea eagle and sanford’s fish eagle. The bald eagle is also
called the American eagle. Eagles are usually bird prey. The
Bald eagle is mostly found in North America. The white tailed
eagle is also called sea eagle or erne, they are quite big
eagle, most of the time they breed in northern Europe and Asia.
The Madagascar fish eagle is found in the dry deciduous forests
of Madagascar. The Steller’s sea eagle is one of the heaviest
eagles in the world. The white bellied sea eagle is resident of
India, they are also found in Asia and Australia. They are also
known under the name of white breasted sea eagle or white
bellied fish eagle. It is a big bird prey which belongs to the
Accipitridae family. In the Kakadu National Park you will
sometimes see some sea eagle flying around over the lakes. |
