Wurrgeng is
one of the six seasons of Kakadu. The other five seasons are
Gurrung, Yegge, Banggereng, Gudjewg and Gunumeleng. Wurrgeng is
in June and July. They call it also the cold weather. During
this period there is low humidity. At night the temperature can
go down to seventeen degrees. At this time the floodplains dry
out. The six seasons has been decided by the inhabitants of
Kakadu long time ago because there is extreme variation in the
weather. In the region of Kakadu you will also discover the
descendant of the first Australians who are still living in the
area. The place has also a large number of mammal species,
insects, frogs, birds, reptiles and plants. Kakadu is a
