The
yellow-tailed black cockatoo is native to Australia, from Eyre
Peninsula to Queensland. Some of the yellow-tailed black
cockatoo can be seen in Melbourne and Sydney. This species is a
large cockatoo; it is not a very common bird and is one of the
well-loved of southern Australia. These species of cockatoos
have long breeding seasons. When yellow-tailed black cockatoo is
adult it may attain a length between fifty five and sixty five
cm. There is twenty one cockatoo bird species which form part of
the Cacatuidae family. There are some cockatoo that are
considered as endangered species which are red-vented cockatoo,
mollucan cockatoo, goffin’s cockatoo, palm cockatoo and
yellow-crested cockatoo. The family of the cacatuidae has
subfamilies which are calyptorhynchidae, white cockatoos and
microglossinae. |
