While driving around in Katherine you will see cows near lakes
in the area as here on the picture. Katherine is a very
touristic region. The main places to visit while going in
Katherine area is Nitmiluk National Park, Nitmiluk Visitor
Centre, the Umbrawarra Gorge, the Bitter Springs Thermal Pool in
Matarenka, the Cutta Cutta caves which is located 30 km south of
Katherine. Those caves are tropical caves and you will be able
to discover bats and snakes in there. And of course the boat
cruises that are organized to make you explore this beautiful
region of Katherine, the thirteen Gorges, the rivers which all
has a history and most of them got their name from the explorers
who discovered this beautiful area. |
