In the past the Daly River was a place for the Aboriginal people where they used to meet but around the year 1800 when the European settled, they established mining, farming and so on. One of the main attractions is fishing; the river has a lot of barramundi, crocodile and wildlife. The Daly River attracts a lot of tourists and even the Australian.
