The didgeridoo
is probably one of the oldest musical instruments in the world;
it makes part of the aboriginal culture. Music was quite
important for the aborigines. The didgeridoo resembles as a
flute. In the aboriginal tradition, they usually go in nature
and listen to the animals, to the wind, the trees cracking,
thunder, and water running. The didgeridoo is known to be the
sound of Australia. The sound that comes out of it, is quite
complex with rhythmic patterns. The didgeridoo is made of tree
trunks and limbs that are hollowed out by termites. It has been
originally found in Arnhem Land in Northern Australia. It was
played only by men in sure tribal groups. |
