The Nitmiluk
Park is located in the Northern Territory in Australia. It is
about 340 kilometres from Darwin. While visiting the area you
will be able to admire the gorges, there are thirteen, these
natural gorges are along the Katherine River, there are boulders
and rocks that separate each gorge. In the Nitmiluk National
Park you will also discover the Edith falls which also make part
of the Park but is accessed by a different way. The Edith falls
has at its base a large plunge pool very known as swimming area.
For those who like to take a walk in place of swimming there is
the Leilyn Trail which is a trip of 2.6 km walk and climbs. The
Edith River is also a very popular area for camping. |
