The Nitmiluk Park is located in the Northern Territory in Australia. It is about 340 kilometres from Darwin. While visiting the area you will be able to admire the gorges, there are thirteen, these natural gorges are along the Katherine River, there are boulders and rocks that separate each gorge. In the Nitmiluk National Park you will also discover the Edith falls which also make part of the Park but is accessed by a different way. The Edith falls has at its base a large plunge pool very known as swimming area. For those who like to take a walk in place of swimming there is the Leilyn Trail which is a trip of 2.6 km walk and climbs. The Edith River is also a very popular area for camping.
