Termites are
insects that human don’t appreciate as they damage wood.
Termites are known to build their nest also in trees. They build
quite large nests; they are known to be social insects. Termites
are easily compared to ants but are not ants. Termites often
have light brown to white bodies; they have darker head and have
no waist between the thorax and the abdomen. The termites live
in cool and dark nests, which are usually constructed in soils
mounds, underground or in trees, the five main type of nests are
the tree wood which is inside a tree, pole nest (telegraph poles
or fence posts), tree nests which is usually outside a tree
connected to the interne cavity, ground mounds and subterranean
nests (at tree bases, underground, in the soil). |
