Sandstones are sediment art rocks with grains in
between. These are formed wherever sand is laid down and buried.
Certain minerals are said to be stored with the sand when buried
and this is the additional substance which gives it its colour
and its unique character. One of the reasons why you have
sandstones in regions of Australia is because of the strong
winds that carry them over miles and miles. Domes are formed
after a while due to deposition. This long process creates a
wonderful sandstone domes. |
