In the Royal Arcade in Melbourne you can see as decoration the statues of Gog and Magog. You can discover Gog and Magog in different religion, the tradition of these two statues first started in the bible. They represented in the bible as giants or sometimes as demons.  In the arcade they are known as the guardian of the arcade, they are standing near a clock known as the Gaunt”s clock and near bells. They are situated at the end of the arcade at Little Collins Street. Gog and Magog can also in the Muslim religion. In Melbourne the myth says that they are over one hundred years old. The statues have been carved by Mortimer Godfrey. He has made the height of fourteen feet originally to seven feet. Gog and Magog are brothers, in the Royal Arcade Magog is there as a Roman soldier. There are different stories over Gog and Magog. The Royal Arcade is a popular area for shopping you will discover there a large variety of shops.
