The Luna Park is located in St Kilda, a suburb of Melbourne. The
Luna Park makes part of the municipality of Port Phillip Bay. It
is an amusement Park and was opened in 1912 and since that time
it is still operating. There are two Luna parks in Australia,
the other Luna Park is located on Sydney Harbour and is better
known. In the past park was located in Adelaide. In the last 20
years a lot of redevelopment has been done. The Luna Park
proposes a variety of attractions as the ferris wheel, twin
dragon, ghost train, red baron, carousel, spider, pharoah’s
curse, g force, Arabian merry, metropolis, shock drop and a lot
more. The park does not only propose rides but also food, games
and shops. They also organize birthday parties. In the years
1865 the area was a wasteland covered mostly with a lagoon. In
1870 the lagoon was drained and till 1880 it stayed unoccupied.
In November 1906 “dreamland” was opened by Mr, Salambo. But
“dreamland” was in 1909 demolished. |
