This is the Exhibition and Convention Centre in Melbourne. They were both opened at different times. It is located in the Southbank,Victoria. It has been built in replacement of the Royal Exhibition Building. The Exhibition Centre was opened in February 1996 and the Convention Centre was opened in May 1990. The building was also known in the past as “jeff’s Shed” after the Premier of Victoria Jeff Gibb Kennett. The Exhibition Centre contains pillarless floor space of 30,000 square metres and is also the largest pillarless floor in the southern hemisphere. Some exhibitions are real annual events for the centre.
