Ruldolf Dassler. It was founded in 1924 under the name Gebrueder
Dass Schuhfabrik in Herzogenaurach in Germany. Herzogenaurach is
a town located in Bavaria. The brother of Ruldolf Dassler, Adolf
Dassler founded the adidas company. The name of the company
changed in 1948 to PUMA Schuefabrik Rudolf Dassler but was only
known as a public company in 1986, they are listed on the
Frankfurt Stock Exchange and Boerse Muenchen. Puma distributes
their products in more than eighty countries, they have around
3.200 employees. The revenue of the company for the fiscal year
2003 was of 1.274 billion euro. |
