central business district of Melbourne. The street has been
named for Sir Richard Bourke, Governor of the New South Wales
from 1831 to 1837. Sir Richard Bourke was born in May 1777 in
Ireland. The Bourke Street is mainly a commercial area with a
large number of shops. When walking on the Bourke Street you
will come along the Royal Arcade which is very popular arcade in
Melbourne and is also considered as a tourist attraction. You
will also come along the Parliament House, the Melbourne Fine
Art Gallery. At 2-8 Bourke Street is the Imperial Hotel where
you can eat very well. Melbourne has a variety of restaurants
for all taste with Asian, Italian, Portuguese, Thai, Malaysian,
Korean, Lebanese, Chinese, Indian, French, Japanese and Spanish
