There is in Sydney some well known gardens, one of the largest
garden in Sydney, Australia is the Royal Botanic Gardens. The
Royal Botanic Garden is open to public. Two other well known
gardens are the Mount Tomah Botanic Garden and Mount Annan
Botanic Garden. These popular gardens are open all year long and
can be visited. At start in 1788 the actual botanic Gardens was
the private reserve of Governor Phillip. In 1816 the Botanic
gardens was founded by Governor Macquarie. Charles Fraser was
appointed first colonial Botanist in 1817. In 1862, the first
zoo of Sydney opened in the Botanic Gardens. A lot Australians
and tourist enjoy visiting the Botanic Gardens. |
