This is the largest
but not the longest bridge of the world. It is found in Sydney
and commonly known as the Sydney harbour bridge. Francis
Greenway proposed its construction in 1815, but its construction
only started in the 1924 after, general design, for its
construction were made by Dr J J Bradfields and the NSW
departments of public. Its construction cost 4.2 millions and
53,000 tones of steel were used. That is why; today this bridge
carries eight traffic lane and two railways in each direction.
Seeing this bridge, we cannot imagine how important it is for
the Australian. As many royal celebrities climb it, for example,
Prince Frederick and the princess Mary of Denmark. Many people
from all around the world came to visit and to climb this bridge
of Australia known as Coathanger by locals. It is said that
watching this bridge as sunset is an unforgettable experience. |
