Sydney has a moderate weather. On this picture you can the sun
shinning on the Harbour Bridge. It has an oceanic climate which
means winter is cool and summer is warm. January is considered
as the warmest month of the year and July is the coldest month.
Winter temperature is almost never less than five degrees. In
January 1939, the highest temperature was recorded which was
over forty five degrees. The last snowfall was recorded in 1830
in Sydney city. Extreme temperatures will be found inland.
Rainfall is divided all along the year in Sydney. From January
to July there is a little bit more rainfall mainly when the
winds comes from the east. There have been different places
close to bush land in Sydney that has experienced bushfires
mainly between 1994 and 2002, this happens mainly during summer
and spring. A large part of Australia is semi arid or desert
areas. Australia is also considered as the continent which is
the driest and flattest land. The only part having a temperate
climate is the south west and south east corners and it is also
where the most population are found but mainly on the south east
part of Australia. The north part of the continent has a
tropical climate with grassland, rainforest and desert. |
